We are currently recruiting a Market Analyst at our GTA office, currently located in Brampton, ON.
The successful applicant will be part of the marketing team which creates and executes national
marketing campaigns to increase brand awareness and cultivate new BXI customers. In addition
the team assists in the site location planning of broadband towers and is continuously evaluating
new business opportunities.
Job Qualifications
Reporting to the Manager, Analytics the Market Analyst is responsible for segmenting customers
via geo-demographic profiling and translating profiles into actionable information. The Market
Analyst will conduct spatial queries to aggregate data utilizing MapInfo software (MapInfo
Professional and TargetPro GIS software). He/She will be responsible for providing
recommendations accompanied by support materials such as maps and demographic reports,
evaluating business case opportunities with use of BXI models, completing competitive analysis
studies, and providing ongoing research support to the organization. Addressing in-house
research projects to assist internal stakeholders is also a key duty.
Required qualifications and competencies for the position include 1-3 years of experience with
GIS software, strong analytical, organizational and conceptual skills, strong database
manipulation skills (Access, SQL), knowledge of geo-marketing concepts, such as demographics,
segmentation and market share, and strong mapping and reporting skills. The incumbent will
possess the ability to function in a rapidly changing environment, multitask while completing tasks
within stated timelines, and strong communication skills (written and verbal). Solid computing
skills are required combined with a proficiency in MS Office software usage. A post secondary
university or technical degree in Business, Geography or Marketing is preferable. Definite assets
for this position would be a demonstrated knowledge of broadband technology, geographic and
marketing principals combined with experience in direct mail marketing.
