Job Description
Mapcon Mapping, a division of OSI Geospatial Inc. provides geospatial products and services, such as photogrammetric mapping, 3D Laser Scanning, LiDAR mapping and aerial and satellite imagery products to industry and all levels of government.
Mapcon's Burnaby office is in need of a full time inside salesperson. The incumbent's daily activities will be a combination of generating leads and filling customer requests for products.
The salesperson will: generate leads mostly through telephone calling and email; provide quotes to customers and follow up on orders if needed; maintain customer activity database; monitor and track all customer orders; liaise with internal departments and client to ensure the outgoing product satisfies the customer's needs.
Job Qualifications
The successful candidate must possess the ability to learn and apply product, industry and market knowledge to make recommendations to customers and potential prospects. A degree in GIS or Geography related field is preferred and previous marketing, CSR, sales or telemarketing experience is an asset. The incumbent should be familiar with most commonly used internet browers, ftp and internet protocols as well as web services; have knowledge of internet mapping technology, Microsoft, Google, DeCarta, Yahoo and others; possess fluent English verbal and written skills
