Job Description
This is a lead technical role, responsible for the consistent and efficient acquisition, integration and maintenance of spatial information for new infrastructure installations.
This position is directly accountable for the oversight and coordination of geomatics and spatial information management services for Enbridge's Major Projects program.
This includes responsibilities to:
- Supervise and coordinate employee and consultant resources for various engineering projects (facilities and pipelines) with respect to geomatics services.
- Provide leadership and expertise in the area of geomatics to support project development and execution activities.
- Coordinate geomatics services within major project engineering firms.
Job Qualifications
Demonstrated ability in managing projects involving a number of internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong leadership, business, project management, influence and conflict resolution skills.
- Effective interpersonal skills with proven ability to work with diverse groups of stakeholders (management, project execution teams, customers, contractors, etc.).
- Related engineering technology diploma or equivalent from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of seven years of progressively responsible experience in CADD and GIS environment.
- Advanced knowledge of GIS systems, GIS software and database structures.
- Strong analytical, documenting, planning and organizational skills.
- Strong written communications abilities, including good spelling and grammar are essential for this position.
Salary and position level will be commensurate with qualifications.
