Job Description
•Planning and management of technical survey projects.
•Supervision and deployment of resources to complete work in an organized and cost effective manner.
•Assist with decisions concerning purchase and operation of field equipment and office computer hardware and software.
•Assisting in the preparation and presentation of training programs.
•Preparation of proposal and reports.
•Ensuring compliance with the firm’s Health & Safety policy and procedures.
•Ensuring that good public relations are maintained.
•Setting and controlling department budgets.
•Evaluating and reporting on staff performance.
•Business development and promotion.
Job Qualifications
•Alberta Land Surveyor (ALS) license, or other provincial certification with the ability to obtain Alberta Land Surveyor license in reasonable timeframe.
•Articled pupils who are close to obtaining their commission will be considered.
•A degree from a Geomatics Engineering Program will be considered an asset.
•Strong technical abilities.
•Excellent verbal communication skills.
•Strong written communication and report writing skills.
•Demonstrated interpersonal and leaderships skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
•Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
