Job Description
Regulating oil and gas activity for the benefit of all British Columbians.
The Regulatory Affairs and Consultation Division, responsible for providing policy, practices and technical services to the OGC, is seeking a talented GIS Analyst to join the Planning and Analysis Department. This team of Resource Specialists, Planners and GIS Specialists is responsible for the development of strategies related to surface resource management.
Job Qualifications
A Bachelors Degree in Earth Sciences and at least 1 year experience has provided you the knowledge and experience required to be successful in this position. As the GIS Technician provides guidance to OGC staff and clients on data structure and format, the ability to engage and interact with people from diverse technical backgrounds is required. Attention to detail and project management skills will be put work maintaining data integrity, continuity, currency and adherence to GIS standards.
