Job Description
The Golder Associates Calgary Office is currently recruiting for a GIS Business Analyst to join our Information Management Division. The successful candidate will be committed to taking business requirements and turning them into detailed functional specifications that supports the overall company strategy, and meet the needs of the targeted end user.
Additional responsibilities as follows:
• Understands clients' needs by identifying business problems and proposing solutions
• Liaison with various business units to analyze and validate requirements for changes to business processes, policies and information systems
• Manage design and scope of a project
• Understanding and researching the interaction between product and user through applying various user needs study methodology
• Engage in Business Development initiatives
• Effectively working and contributing on team projects
• Strong ability to communicate technical knowledge to non-technical colleagues
• Providing ongoing system support and maintenance after a solution has been implemented
Job Qualifications
• Secondary education in related discipline
• 7 years plus recent experience in systems analysis and design
• Strong analytical skills
• Knowledge of systems life cycle
• Experience working in GIS and/or Databases
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills
• Effective organization and planning skills
• Client focused
