Competition # 85-06/07 Salary: $48,890 to $72,626 per annum Educational Supplement: Masters degree $2,500 per annum; PhD $5,000 per annum Instructor The GIS Environmental Technologies program features hands-on learning for our students through labs, field trips and projects over a two-year (20 month) period. We are seeking a full-time instructor to teach in our GIS Environmental Technologies program as well as be flexible to teach in other areas within the school.

Job Qualifications

As an Instructor, you will work within the college’s vision, mission and values and primarily be responsible for instructing and developing curriculum in advanced GPS applications, GIS data management, analysis and interpretation, electronics, field equipment management, survey equipment and techniques and geomatics field method techniques. You will also be required to participate in student recruitment, cooperative education monitoring, program promotion and liaising with industry

Other Information

You will have a related degree (masters preferred) with relevant industry experience in GIS data acquisition, management, analysis and interpretation in the context of natural resource management and/or agriculture. You will have strong interpersonal, communication, teamwork and organizational skills. Teaching and curriculum development experience in an adult environment is desirable. Eligibility for Geomatics credential or Professional Agrologist designation is an asset.
