Coastal Resource Mapping Ltd. (CRM) is currently seeking a GIS Developer to help develop and maintain its proprietary software. We are preferably looking for an individual with a Bachelor's Degree in Computing Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline with a diploma in Advanced GIS. The individual should have 2-4 years of experience specifically in GIS related software development.
The applicant should have a comprehensive knowledge of: .NET, and working knowledge of: VB / ASP.NET / C# / Java / Javascript / XML / HTML / PHP/ SQL, ArcObjects, database design principles, numerous vector and raster spatial data formats. Familiarity with the following would be considered an asset: spatial databases, template-driven development, test-driven development, scripting experience for streamlining and automating workflows, and exposure to various Internet/Intranet mapping options. You must be a team player with ability to work with a variety of simultaneous goals and issues and be flexible and self-motivated.
