Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful applicant's responsibilities will include:
- Designing, developing, unit testing and commenting custom GIS applications;
- Preparing system and user documentation;
- Participating in design and code reviews; and
- Providing application maintenance.
Job Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
AMEC Earth and Environmental will benefit greatly from someone with the following:
- University or Community College degree related to GIS and/or Computer Science;
- Minimum of three years fulltime work experience developing GIS applications using ASP.NET, ASP, HTML, XML, C#, VB, VB.Net, JavaScript, Java and/or CSS;
- Minimum of two years experience with ArcObjects, MapObject and /or Avenue;
- Actionable knowledge of ArcIMS/ArcGIS Server, ArcSDE, Geodatabase, SQL, Stored Procedures, MS SQL Server, MS Access and/or Oracle;
- Ability to work independently;
- Excellent organizational skills;
- Excellent verbal and written skills;
- A strong desire to provide excellent, practical and proactive customer service with a commitment to technical excellence; and
- Ability to manage and prioritize several simultaneous assignments while ensuring on-time delivery.
