Elections BC is looking for two skilled GIS technicians to maintain the currency, accuracy and completeness of Election BC’s (EBC’s) mission-critical geographic information system (GIS) and cartographic products and services.  The Electoral Geographic Specialists work in a team to maintain the Integrated Digital Electoral Atlas, a proprietary GIS which includes spatial and attribute data of B.C. roads, features, boundaries, addresses and other related data. The Specialists integrate data changes according to established statistical and geographic guidelines and technical standards, and resolve address-related data anomalies.

  • Directing voters to the correct voting place.

The Electoral Geographic Specialists play an important role in assigning all registered voters to an accurate address within the province of B.C., coding all addresses to the correct electoral district and voting area, and delineating voting area boundaries to meet legislated requirements.

If you are a skilled GIS technician with excellent attention to detail, and want a career with meaningful work that serves democracy in B.C., then we want to hear from you.
