Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Technician to work with our Geomatics Operation to propel us forward into the future direction of UAV applications and services. The right candidate has a high attention to detail, is able to travel for work projects outside of local area for extended periods of time and maintain established operational standards.They will also work across diverse industries & situations.
Job Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Ability to pilot and maintain a UAV system
- Understanding of existing flight regulations
- Flight planning abilities including use of flight planning software and other planning tools
- Practical Skill and understanding of GIS and geoprocessing tools
- Practical skill and knowledge of photographic and remote sensing systems and techniques
- Ability to develop and maintain data quality standards
- Responsible, accountable and mature attitude
- Trouble shooting and critical thinking skills
- Customer service skills
Preferred Qualifications
- UAV ground school certification including radio operators certification
- An Advanced Dipioma in GIS or formalized training in one or more applicable areas of Geographic Information Systems
- Business development skills
