Job Description

The Department of Geomatics at the University of Alaska Anchorage invites applicants for a full-time tenure-track position in Geomatics. The primary duty of this position is full-time teaching in the Geomatics department for the two-year Associate of Applied Science, the ABET accredited four-year Bachelor of Science degrees in Geomatics, as well as the Certificate in GIS. Courses may include, but are not limited to, undergraduate Geomatics courses, including the fundamentals of surveying, advanced surveying, GPS, GIS, geodesy, mapping and map projections, photogrammetry, remote sensing, boundary law, adjustment theory and practice, hydrographic surveying, land development design, computer aided drafting, graphics, and professional development. The position may include a research component depending on the background of the successful applicant.
