The BC Electoral Boundaries Commission (BC-EBC) seeks a Technical Mapping Analyst to provide the technical cartographic expertise and skills to design and produce maps representing a preliminary and a final set of new electoral district boundaries. This is a rare opportunity to join a unique temporary organization and support the foundation of the democratic process in B.C.
The BC-EBC is an independent and non-partisan commission appointed to review provincial electoral districts and to make proposals to the Legislative Assembly on the area, boundaries and names of electoral districts to be used for the next two provincial general elections. The Technical Mapping Analyst will use GIS software and internally-produced relational database management systems to provide technical support, expert advice, and production services for Commission staff regarding the required spatial and demographic data and products.
