TDB Consultants is aggressively pursuing our vision to expand our consulting engineering services and increase our capacities in Civil and Forest Engineering. As such, we are looking for a Survey Crew Lead to join our team in Prince George, BC.
In this key role, you will primarily be field-oriented and your responsibilities may develop to include office planning and drawing.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, your overall duties will include:
- Surveying and field engineering in both local and remote areas of Northern BC;
- Leading total station and GPS topographic site plan surveys;
- Leading road traverse surveys, volumetric surveys, road and bridge layout;
- Preparing clear, concise and accurate field notes, records and calculations
- Assisting in the calculation, analysis and computation of field measurements; and
- Assisting forestry and construction crews on an as-needed basis.
Job Qualifications
Please apply if you have a Technical Diploma in Surveying, Civil or Geomatics, along with 2-5 years of experience in a related field.Along with these qualifications, we ask that you have experience related to leading survey crews in developing natural resource sites in remote areas and that you be willing and able to travel to job sites and stay for extended periods to complete surveys.
To excel, it is important that you have survey experience pertaining to resource roads, bridges and other structures. It will be considered an asset if you have survey experience using Trimble total stations and GPS.
