Job Qualifications
The Senior GIS Programmer – Analyst’s key responsibilities will include:
Working from the Edmonton office in Alberta, the GIS Analyst will:
- Conduct GIS analyses;
- Produce required custom maps to staff and clients;
- Troubleshoot and recommend GIS system improvements;
- Work with existing clients and attract new clients to LAT60;
- Provide GIS support to external customers; and
Provide technical support to field and office staff.

The following is a list of qualifications we are looking for:
- Degree or diploma in GIS or with core GIS coursework (such as Forestry or Environmental Sciences)

Experience and skill set requirements:
- 2 – 5 years experience with ESRI toolsets;
- Marketing and/or design background an asset;
- Environmental or Forest industry experience is considered an asset;
- Experience working with AutoCAD an asset;
- Experience in surveying / geomatics is considered an asset;
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills;
- Strong organizational and time management skills; and
- Ability to provide a proactive, solutions-based approach to GIS issues.
