Job Description
•Build and maintain GIS and cartographic products to support applications in the Oil & Gas Industry
•Creation and maintenance of geospatial datasets using ArcGIS 10, ArcSDE and ArcServer
•Conduct spatial and 3D analyses of geographic data sets
•Create sophisticated final map products using ArcGIS
•Deliver data sets, metadata, and cartographic productions to clients
•Ability to work and communicate effectively with different levels of co-workers, clients, and other external contacts
Job Qualifications
•Build and maintain GIS and cartographic products to support applications in the Oil & Gas Industry
•Creation and maintenance of geospatial datasets using ArcGIS 10, ArcSDE and ArcServer
•Conduct spatial and 3D analyses of geographic data sets
•Create sophisticated final map products using ArcGIS
•Deliver data sets, metadata, and cartographic productions to clients
•Ability to work and communicate effectively with different levels of co-workers, clients, and other external contacts
•Eligible to work in Canada
Other Information
•Diploma in GIS/Cartography (or equivalent)
•Experience using ESRI ArcGIS software and extensions
•Exposure to FME, Modelbuilder, Python, VB.net, Global Mapper would be an asset
•Demonstrated knowledge of cartographic principles and understanding of map production procedures
•Excellent interpersonal skills, communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to work independently as well as within a team
