Position Details:

Due to an increased volume of work, our Major Pipeline Projects department in Calgary has an immediate opening for a Geomatics Technician.  Duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Pipeline Construction:
    • Development, creation, QA/QC of pipeline and facility as-builts
    • Processing and compiling survey and engineering data
  • In a team environment, examining existing processes to determine what if any changes can be made to increase efficiencies in the field as well as in the office; and
  • Liaising closely with project management to effectively provide clients with excellent service.

Job Qualifications


·       Pipeline construction experience required, with understanding of:

o    Design and installation of pipeline and associated facilities

o    Large diameter pipeline construction project execution

o    Pipeline Alignment sheets, mechanical and civil drawings

·       2+ years previous experience in a similar role;

·       Previous Crew Chief experience considered an asset; and

·       Experience using RTK, MicroSurvey, and Excel would be an asset.



·       A degree or diploma in Geomatics or Engineering discipline (i.e. Engineering Technologist) from a recognized post-secondary program. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
