Job Description

Skills and Responsibilities

Manage and perform field construction surveys independently or with the help of a survey assistant in the Fort McMurray, Grande Prairie, Edmonton and Calgary areas
Liaise with Project Managers regarding budgets, timing requirements, priority and survey methodology used
prepare and communicate field notes, sketches, checklists and digital data in the formats required by the drafting department
Review field and office procedures regarding survey matters
Rotational Schedule

Job Qualifications

Education/Skills and Experience

A Degree or Diploma in Geomatics and/or Survey Technician from a recognized technical school or equivalent experience.
Good knowledge of survey methodologies, total stations and GPS equipment
Strong computer and technical skills
Be able to work in a fast paced environment with strict deadlines
Work well as part of a team or on an individual basis
Ability to identify and set priorities, effective time management
Detail oriented and willing to take responsibility for your own work
Valid Driver’s license and clear driver’s abstract
Willing to travel and work away from home up to 21 days at a time
