Summary
The Canadian Channel Manager, Commercial Sales - is responsible for helping DigitalGlobe exceed its near-term and long-term business objectives by maximizing sales revenue from the Canadian Channel Partners and Accounts. Responsibilities include: identifying, qualifying, developing and closing near term sales opportunities; growing new and existing Channel Partner relationships, building sales opportunity funnel, increasing sales; pursuing “next generation” sales opportunities with key customers; ensuring customer loyalty; and, building outstanding customer relationships by providing an exceptional customer experience as the primary interface into the company. The candidate would ideally be located in Western Canada, preferred Calgary or Vancouver.
Job Qualifications
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Including but not limited to the following:
- Develop and implement a channel plan that consistently exceeds team revenue target.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the current Canadian Channel which contribute to the growth of the DigitalGlobe commercial customer base.
- Build and maintain accurate business opportunity funnel within SalesForce.com.
- Coordinate with the DigitalGlobe Executive Management to ensure Channel accounts receive a clear, consistent, and organized message with regard to current and future DigitalGlobe initiatives.
- Pursue, qualify, and successfully close immediate sales opportunities, which include not only imagery data sales but also geospatial production opportunities.
- Provide customer outreach and promote DigitalGlobe products and services, as well as its near-term and long-term strategic initiatives.
- Provide input to the creation of the annual Sales and Marketing Plans for Canadian Channel under management by the candidate.
- Develop thorough understanding of the forces driving the industry and work with Marketing, System Engineering and New Product Development teams in devising and implementing sales solutions to address current and future customer needs.
Required Skills
This person must possess a strong customer and major account focus and have the following experience:
- Successful track record for WINNING!
- Successful track record and tenure with premier, market-leading companies. High tech, hyper-growth Company.
Canadian sales leadership experience is preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree required. Remote Sensing or GIS an asset
- Strong business acumen, client-service, and results orientation; both a strategic thinker and able to execute tactically.
- Ability to work in an unstructured environment to set and consistently achieve organizational and revenue goals.
- History of building positive relationships both internally and externally
