Job Description

TDB Consultants Inc. is aggressively pursuing our vision to expand our consulting engineering services and increase our capacities in Civil and Forest Engineering.  To facilitate this, we are seeking to engage a highly capable Survey Crew Lead to join our growing team.

TDB Consultants Inc. has immediate openings for a full-time Survey Crew Lead in its Engineering Department for work inPrince George and surrounding areas. The successful candidate will report directly to the Engineering Manager.  This position will initially be field-orientated and may develop to include office planning and drawing.

Key Responsibilities:

Surveying & Field Engineering:

  • Lead total station and GPS topographic site plan surveys
  • Lead road traverse surveys, volumetric surveys, road and bridge stakeout
  • Assist in the calculation, analysis and computation of field measurements
  • Assist operational forestry crews on an as needed basis

Job Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Technical Diploma related to Surveying or Geomatics
  • Minimum 2-5 years experience in a related field
  • Skill sets and experience relevant to natural resource development
  • Survey experience pertaining to resource roads, bridges and other structures
  • Survey experience using Trimble total stations and GPS is considered an asset
  • Physically fit and enjoy working in diverse and demanding conditions
  • Team player who is focused on safety
