Job Description
POSITION DESCRIPTION: Provides information, documentation, and overall support to Project Managers and other Project Development staff of EDP Renewables Canada Ltd.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES: • Creates and updates project maps and databases using GIS and other tools • Coordinates and assembles project proposals to landowners and utilities • Assists with community outreach and land acquisition activities • Conducts land, market, regulatory, and related project research • Represents EDPR NA in the field, working with Project Managers, Legal staff, and landowners to create and amend agreements, options, leases, and land sales • Communicates with the Energy Assessment team of EDPR NA to ensure meteorological towers are erected and properly transmitting information • Assists with efforts to secure transmission and interconnection rights from utilities and transmission providers • Supports internal reporting and project tracking efforts • Assists with federal and regional permitting of wind farms, including preparing applications, conducting research, attending meetings, coordinating internal and external resources to perform studies, and performing other support tasks as needed • Additional duties as required to support the overall effort to secure and develop projects in Canada

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

REQUIRED: Work eligibility in Canada REQUIRED EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field REQUIRED PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: 0 – 2 years of progressively responsible project management experience in energy or a related industry REQUIRED LICENSURE OR CERTIFICATION: REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE: Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software; some knowledge of ESRI ArcGIS and Spatial Analyst software preferred OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Strong organizational skills Strong written and oral communication skills High attention to detail Interpersonal and teamwork skills Ability to work productively with limited supervision Ability to multi-task Time-management skills Strong interest in environmental issues and renewable energy Familiarity with wind power project development preferred Ability and willingness to travel and work overtime as needed Ability to speak and understand French preferred
