We are looking for a highly motivated individual with excellent technical and interpersonal skills to lead our Geomatics / GIS Department in delivering outstanding service to our internal and external clients.

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Actively pursue GIS and mapping related business development
  • Manage the staff and activities of the GIS department
  • Liaise with internal teams to determine requirements and deliverables 
  • Execute on technical projects
  • Plans and forecasts needs for the GIS department

Job Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Geomatics, Earth Science, Geography, Computer Science or related discipline
  • Several years of progressive experience executing geomatics projects for oil & gas, engineering, environmental, transportation, mining or construction
  • Geospatial modeling experience an asset
  • Experience managing teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Superior organizational and time-management skills and the ability to multi-task and take initiative.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy of work
  • Experience and / or formal education with ESRI / ArcGIS systems
  • Willingness to work with all levels of employees on various projects of differing complexity.
  • Background in environmental and/or infrastructure projects a strong asset
  • Strong hands-on experience performing data gathering, data processing, data management, analysis and cartography required.
