Job Description
The School of Environment has an opportunity available for a Temporary Full-Time Instructor in the areas of AutoCAD, Global Positioning Systems (GPS), and Geographic Information Systems (GIS). The anticipated term of employment is from August 1, 2012 to April 30, 2013.
Instructional responsibilities include class preparation, instructional delivery, learner evaluation and facilitation of a positive learning environment. Classes are delivered on a semester basis with the normal work day being from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Job Qualifications
The successful candidate will have a minimum of a diploma and at least 3 years of related industry experience, with demonstrated competence in the use of relevant technology. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills are required. Previous experience as an industry trainer or as an instructor at the post-secondary level would be a definite asset. Candidates with other combinations of education, training and experience may be considered.
