C4i Consultants Inc. has an exceptional full time professional career opportunity for a Senior GIS Customer Solutions Specialist based out of our Calgary Head Office. You will leverage your GIS Technology experience at both the corporate and field level, from within the Energy industry, to support the introduction of a constructive simulation GIS software tool. This tool, ePlan-GIS, can significantly reduce the amount of time, cost and effort required to assemble and execute a table top Emergency Response Planning exercise. Position Overview and Responsibilities:

  • Develop the core positioning and messaging statement for ePlan-GIS and perform product demos for Canadian customers.
  • Using ePlan-GIS, work closely with C4i colleagues to contribute to the refinement and continuous improvement of a standardized, best in class, emergency management methodology.
  • Assist in the creation of standards/implementation and monitoring of a client’s GIS Emergency Management program.
  • Work with C4i customers to understand strategic enterprise GIS deployment objectives and apply design methodology to establish infrastructure specifications to ePlan-GIS.
  • Using ePlan-GIS, C4i’s Emergency Response Planning tool, create and deliver, with input from key stakeholders, realistic GIS based test scenarios.
  • Assist in the Quality Assurance reviews of proposed ePlan-GIS solution architectures for other projects, including, if appropriate, alternative views on the architecture.
  • Deliver ePlan-GIS product seminars, workshops and presentations at User Conference or special events.
  • Ability to participate in needs analysis, solution visioning, product demonstration requirements gathering and prototype development.
  • Assist in the development of product and vertical marketing kits that will illustrate the ePlan-GIS solution approach.
  • Remain current with industry skills, education, applicable governmental regulations and practises.
  • Support pre-sales and post sales activities related to technical aspects of ePlan-GIS.
  • Develop sales tools and marketing presentation materials by prioritizing features and benefits of ePlan-GIS.
  • Provide training to staff on new ePlan-GIS releases.
  • Define the product strategy road map within the Canadian Energy marketplace.
  • Provide input into the preparation of proposals (e.g. RFP’s, RFI’s, and RFQ’s).
  • Assume technical delivery roles on key enterprise projects.
  • Manage the expectation and coordinate activities to meet customers’ product requirements.
  • Establish pricing models; create unique demonstration capability with ePlan-GIS.
  • Review and analyze technical GIS production data for the calculations of emergency planning zones.

Job Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Post Secondary degree in Geography (GIS), Engineering (GIS) or equivalent education and experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience working with GIS technology within the Energy industry.
  • Solid knowledge of GIS applications using ESRI technology.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision making capabilities.

Experience with:

  • Geographic Information Systems (GIS) including ESRI products.
  • Microsoft (Word and Excel) at the Intermediate level.

Candidate Profile:

  • Strong interpersonal communication and technical writing skills.
  • GIS product development experience would be a definite asset.
  • Ability to work in a flexible work and team environment.
  • Self starter who is able to work independently.
  • Ability to present, with ease, in both a corporate professional setting and in the field.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Must be a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident of Canada.
