SUMMARY:
Act as a customer liaison, working with various internal departments to ensure the customer requirements are met, and reports directly to the Director of Customer Support. This position is responsible for managing customer inquiries as well as providing sales support, and will directly impact the overall sales performance.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Generate new and repeat sales by providing product and technical information in a timely manner
• Determine customer requirements and expectations in order to recommend specific products and solutions
• Recommend alternate solution based on cost, availability or specifications
• Present price, credit and terms in accordance with standard procedures and customers’ profitability profiles
• Accurately process customer transactions such as orders, quotes or returns
• Proactively recommend services needed by customers to increase customer satisfaction and improve transaction profitability
• Increase sales and average order size by means of cross-selling, up-selling
• Educate customers about terminology, features and benefits of products in order to improve product related sales and customer satisfaction
• Monitor scheduled shipment dates to ensure timely delivery and expedite as needed
• Contact customers following sales to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction and resolve any complaint
• Setup and maintain customer files
• Identify trends in customer satisfaction or dissatisfaction
• Follow company policies and procedures
• Present a professional image at all times to customers and vendors
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Post secondary education, with demonstrated knowledge in GIS software and GPS technology
• Experience in Administration/coordination in a technical sales/support contract environment
• 3 - 5 years experience in customer support coordination; preferably in a technical support environment
• Excellent interpersonal and business relationship skills
• Professional presence with excellent communication and presentation skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Previous software or hardware sales experience
• Must be proficient in computer skills
• Ability to multitask, with excellent analytical skills
• Able to work independently and in a team environment
• Excellent organizational skills and experience working with various databases
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
