|
Responsibilities:
Experience matters! Our projects have a high level of challenge and innovation and require expertise and knowledge that comes from experience. Candidates should have at least 5 years experience but 8+ years is preferred.
Experience should be mostly in the Energy and/or Utilities sectors.
Our projects constantly engage the end-user community and as such we are often asked to provide technical assistance and guidance and general support to technical and workflow issues.
The candidate will play a key role in variety of activities such as solutioning, design, development, implementation, training, and support.
The core activities for this job are workflow automation, project and enterprise level spatial data management, system integration, and facilitating and performing spatial analysis.

Skills/Requirements:
The applicant should have experience with the ESRI suite of applications, experience with the ESRI geoprocessing framework (Model Builder and Python) and ArcObjects is highly desirable.
Rudimentary development experience desirable but not a must, although the applicant should have a working knowledge of the basic spatial analysis techniques and be familiar with use of Relational and Spatial databases in a GIS.
Applicant should have the discipline for sleuthing data integrity issues, an aptitude for GIS analysis, and a practical approach to data management processes.
Experience with other spatial data manipulation applications, platforms or paradigms would also be highly advantageous to the applicant.
Solid understanding of spatial reference systems is an absolute must. Real-world experience in the realm of survey, geodesy, or geomatics is an asset.
Applicants should have a minimum of Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Geography, GIS, or related field.
Should be a quick study; strong problem solving (creativity counts!) and data management skills are required for this position.
Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills, must be able to handle conflicting priorities.
Candidates should have the ability to work both in a team environment and as an individual.
